This sprint we’re rearranging and tidying up what we call Trevor’s control bar. This is the main bar below your query’s steps and is the control center of the query builder, i.e the primary method through which new steps are added.
As you can see from this action-packed whiteboard session above, we’re taking all of Trevor’s query-builder functionality and organising it into sexy dropdown menus:
- rows (everything that affects which rows are shown).
- columns (everything that affects which columns are shown).
- summarize (yes, we have gone with the american spelling here …. and no, as two proud Englishmen, we’re not 100% comfortable with this decision).
- join (joining to tables or saved queries).
